Be a part of a curated group of other kind, curious, fun queer men for a weekend of reflection, mindfulness, coaching, and connection in one of the world’s most beautiful natural spaces.
*ri-ˈtrēt : a period of withdrawal, often in nature, for meditation, study, or instruction under a teacher or facilitator. An intentional opportunity for regrouping, recuperating, reflecting, resetting.*
To live our best lives, to be awake to this one life we are living, we all need time and support to live intentionally and think about what matters most.
Anyone who identifies as a queer man in midlife, interested in exploring the practices, tools, and support to navigate the challenges in midlife, and to thrive. We are purposely limiting participation to no more than 15 people to ensure a great, personalized experience for everyone.
While couples and friends are welcome to join together, this is an opportunity for self reflection and honest conversations about yourself and where you want to go in the next phase of midlife.
“If you're looking to experience genuine connection with other gay men who are in the same stage of life as you, this retreat is that. Jeff and Andrew are incredible, thoughtful facilitators and this retreat far exceeded my expectations. Thank you so much for creating such an incredible experience!” - Past Participant
Note: Our facilitators are certified coaches, but not licensed therapists. Many will find the retreat therapeutic and healing. However, this is not a recovery program and our group programming is not designed to support deep individual trauma processing. If deeper healing work is what you're seeking, we would be happy to gently point you toward therapists or recovery- or trauma-informed programs, and we would still love to see you here when the time feels right.
We’ll have a mix of facilitated group discussions, 1:1 coaching conversations with experienced certified coaches, meditation and yoga sessions, lots of time for self-reflection and enjoying the quiet of nature in northern California, shared nutritious gourmet meals, connection and community.
Through a mix of reflection exercises, facilitated conversations, and unstructured time, topics we will explore could include:
“The midlife men's retreat at Spirit Camp in Mendocino was truly awe inspiring - from the magical setting amongst the redwoods, to the daily meditation, yoga and thoughtfully curated facilitation by Andrew and Jeff, complimented only by the delicious food prepared by Chef James. Thank you Andrew, Jeff and my fellow retreatants for this magical weekend together!” - Past Participant
